Senior Research Analyst

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a curious and forward-thinking Sr. Research Analyst to transform research and data into actionable insights on the hydrogen and cleantech market. If you’re excited to explore new frontiers in emerging markets and become a leading expert in the field, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in our research group. You will engage deeply with market news, trends, technological and infrastructure developments, policy and price forecasts related to hydrogen supply and demand.
What You’ll Do:
Research: Conduct comprehensive primary and secondary research, including outreach to global subject matter experts, to form data-backed hypotheses on industry trends.
Data Analysis: Analyze large data sets and key market indicators to identify patterns and
Product Development: Build and maintain databases on hydrogen production, consumption, and capacity across regions. Contribute to developing client-focused research products and services.
Reports: Write and present detailed reports, whitepapers, and presentations summarizing key findings, market forecasts, and actionable insights for clients.
Industry Awareness: Stay updated on global developments in hydrogen policy, regulation, projects, infrastructure, and technology.
Mentorship & Process Improvement: Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of research processes and methodologies.
Documentation: Maintain transparency and consistency by documenting research methods and data procedures.
What You Bring:
Technical Skills
Scientific/Quantitative Foundation: Bachelor’s in scientific or quantitative field (e.g., Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering).
Experience: 3+ years in market research or data analysis, preferably in energy, renewables, or commodities sectors.
Data Tools: Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and Excel.
Data Visualization: Skilled in presenting data-driven stories with a clear understanding of data-ink ratios for crisp communication.
Soft Skills
Curious: Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.
Ownership: Proactively advance projects, resolve roadblocks, and improve internal processes.
Communication: Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to present complex findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Project Management: Comfortable managing multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
Collaboration: A team player who thrives in cross-functional settings.
Business acumen: Connect your work with organizational goals and client objectives.
Grit: A tenacious and resilient mindset for overcoming challenges and exploring new solutions.
Bonus Points If You Have:
Graduate Degree: Master’s or PhD in a scientific or quantitative field.
Energy Experience: Familiarity with hydrogen market players, policy environments, and infrastructure developments is highly desirable. Cleantech, sustainability, or energy experience or simply a passion to understand the growing ecosystem of clean industries.
Consulting Experience: Previous experience in a consulting role, providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to clients.
Data Science: Proficiency in statistical tools, econometric modeling, or machine learning.
Business Intelligence: Experience developing data visuals using tools like Sigma, PowerBI, or Tableau.
