Alan Dyke

Senior Advisor

Alan Dyke joined Boulder Scientific as Chief Technology Officer in September 2020. In this role, he leads the company’s efforts in research & development, scale-up and process safety, quality assurance analytical services, and technical writing. He is also involved in business development and strategic planning, which includes coordination of external partnering relationships focused on new technology development.

Before joining Boulder Scientific, Alan worked in catalysis and organometallic products businesses for Johnson Matthey developing Precious Metals based products for the Life Sciences and Microelectronics industries. He graduated from the University of Bristol in the UK with a Masters degree in Chemistry with Industrial Experience and received his PhD in Chemistry whilst working with Professor Guy Lloyd-Jones, also in Bristol.

In addition to being focused on sustainable manufacturing whilst at Boulder Scientific, Alan is also an active Board Member of the Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates (SOCMA). Alan now lives in Boulder Colorado with his wife Tanya and two children Milo and Clara. He is a passionate amateur athlete, Ironman triathlete, and trail ultra-runner. Tanya and Alan are both vegan and support businesses that have a positive environmental impact wherever possible.
