Rick Wheeler

Rick Wheeler has 15 years of experience in the energy industry and 25 years of experience in finance and accounting. He served as the CFO of Clean Energy Fuels Corp. for over a decade before retiring in 2014. Before Clean Energy Fuels, Rick was Executive Vice President and CFO for Encoda Systems (the leading global provider of software solutions for broadcast media), a financial executive at the Wellbridge Company (an operator of upscale athletic clubs), and CFO for Imagelink Technologies, Inc. (an international manufacturer and distributor of video conferencing technology). Before becoming an executive, Rick spent eight years in the audit division of Arthur Andersen LLP.

Rick holds a BS in Accounting and an MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder. He has served on various boards and was a member of the Leadership Council for RASEI (the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute at the University of Colorado). Rick is a certified public accountant in the state of Colorado.
